Professional Summary

Cybersecurity student with more than 14 years of technical troubleshooting experience from industrial maintenance, controls, and automation environments.

My current hands-on work is focused on networking, infrastructure, Windows and Linux systems, segmentation, IPv4/IPv6, NetBox/IPAM, reverse proxies, and security validation. The troubleshooting habits transferred pretty naturally: trace the problem, isolate variables, verify the fix, and document what actually happened.

Technical Projects

Controlled Uncontrolled Network: Full Segmentation & Remediation

Live Homelab Infrastructure • Dual-Stack IPv4/IPv6 Rebuild
ACTIVE • IN PROGRESS
  • Rebuilding a live multi-service homelab as an inherited network migration rather than starting from a clean slate, eliminating legacy unsegmented dependencies.
  • Designed and implemented an 18-VLAN segmentation architecture with isolated security zones, dual-stack IPv6 prefix delegation (/60), and inter-VLAN firewall drop rules on a UniFi gateway.
  • Migrated web applications behind an Nginx reverse proxy with strict upstream ACLs to eliminate direct client exposure to backend databases and management interfaces.
  • Mapped the current architecture into NetBox DCIM/IPAM via REST API as the documented source of truth (511 passing validation checks).
  • Tested access boundaries with tcpdump and positive/negative connection checks across gateway, host firewalls, and proxy layers.

Professional Experience

Maintenance Technician

Tyson Foods Inc. • West Elm Street Facility
March 2025 – November 2025 • Cumming, GA
  • Supported high-uptime automated food-processing operations, diagnosing electrical, mechanical, motor, and control failures in production-critical equipment.
  • Traced failures from the reported symptom back to the actual cause before returning equipment to service.
  • Troubleshot VFD-driven systems, low- and medium-voltage circuits, sensors, relays, and field devices under strict safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
  • Documented failures, corrective actions, parts used, and repeat issues in CMMS so the next shift had a clear history of what happened.
  • Coordinated with operators, sanitation, quality assurance, and maintenance leadership during live breakdowns and planned maintenance windows.

Maintenance Technician II

Chemence Medical
February 2024 – March 2025 • Alpharetta, GA
  • Maintained automated manufacturing and packaging machinery in a formally tracked 99.99% controllable-uptime medical device facility.
  • Diagnosed complex robotic and control faults across ABB YuMi collaborative robots, automated bottling systems, and cleanroom negative-pressure monitoring equipment.
  • Investigated intermittent failures by correlating operator-reported symptoms, alarm histories, I/O statuses, sensor feedback, and drive behavior.
  • Maintained equipment in a quality-controlled cleanroom where documentation, procedure adherence, and clean restarts were required.
  • Logged repair details, maintenance intervals, and equipment history in CMMS to identify recurring failure trends and improve preventive maintenance procedures.

Automation Technician

Metal Coaters / BlueScope Coated Products
October 2022 – September 2023 • Marietta, GA
  • Troubleshot Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI-controlled production lines (Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000/500) across continuous coated-steel processing, slitting, and material-handling operations.
  • Maintained and diagnosed FactoryTalk HMIs, PowerFlex VFDs, field sensors, line motors, interlocks, and feedback devices affecting line speed, tension, and product quality.
  • Used electrical schematics, live equipment behavior, I/O states, and process conditions to isolate whether faults were electrical, mechanical, logic-related, or process drift.
  • Performed post-maintenance startup validation with production and quality personnel, confirming equipment stability before release to continuous operations.
